Treatments include fluoroscopy-guided spine injections, medications and rehabilitation. Our focus is to restore function and help you return to an active life.
Overview of pain clinic from Jennifer Bunch, M.D.
Chronic pain can be debilitating and can take over a person’s life. Pain can interfere with daily activities, relationships, and social pleasures. Pain is rarely cured by one pill or one injection alone. That’s why I work with my patients to attack pain from every angle. Comprehensive pain medicine incorporates medications when needed, non-invasive injections and procedures to alleviate pain, gentle stretching to improve flexibility and strength, self-management strategies to reduce stress and improve overall wellbeing, and supplementary tools to reduce suffering. Regarding medications, I consider the person’s needs and judiciously choose medications with fewer side effects and greater benefit. Outpatient procedures and injections are useful to reduce pain and help my patients be more physically active. I work closely with physical therapy to teach my patients gentle stretching that does not flare their pain. A comprehensive approach to pain medicine treats the whole person and addresses pain and suffering from every angle; thereby, enabling the person to do the things that are most important to them.
Overview of pain clinic from Ravi Parmar, M.D.
Chronic pain is pain that continues to persist and it can last several years. If you suffer from chronic pain you are not alone. Over 100 million Americans suffer from chronic pain. We understand the burden of chronic pain and utilize cutting edge treatments to ease pain. What sets our clinic apart is our truly comprehensive approach to treating pain. In order to successfully treat long standing pain, we have to use a multidisciplinary approach. We start by patient education. On the first office visit we explain to the patient why they have pain and formulate a comprehensive treatment plan to alleviate the pain. We are able to perform cutting edge interventional treatments, but also educate the patient on things that they can do every day to help ease their pain. Our brand new pain classes are the first of its kind in the St. Petersburg region and there are more exciting programs to start in the near future. We like to think of ourselves as your partner in treating pain. We look forward to beginning the partnership to treat your pain.
